Why does the PTA need money? How much do we need, anyway?
Those are popular questions, and the answer is: We need money to run all of our high-quality programs. And the amount varies from year to year.
In 2017-2018, the PTA's priorities include giving $10,000 to the teachers in the form of grant money (teachers apply to the PTA for money to fund various education projects); $5,000 to support the Needs Network, which provides food on the weekend for students who attend the school; $8,000 to secure exciting speakers for assemblies; and much more! Check out the 2017-2018 budget for a full list of our expenses and fundraising needs.
To raise the money we need, the PTA has the following programs:
- After-School Education Program
- Box Tops
- Colt's Pride Direct Donation Program
- Fall Fundraiser: Classic Cookie sales drive (runs Sept. 29 through Oct. 16)
- Lace Up For Learning race
- Spirit Nights
- Spring Fundraiser (Boosterthon & Fun Run)
- Store Rewards
